Fjord was created with a simple belief: a backpack should work hard, last well, and look considered in every setting.

Why We Started

We began with a clear intention: to create backpacks we’d be proud to carry ourselves. As travellers, commuters and parents, we wanted something built to last — functional enough for everyday movement, yet minimal and timeless in design.

We couldn’t find laptop backpacks that felt refined enough for work, practical enough for commuting, and versatile enough for short travel without looking overly technical or bulky. So we designed our own.

Every Fjord backpack is made from recycled, vegan-friendly materials and crafted by partners who share our commitment to responsible production. From the Fjord Hybrid laptop backpack for work and travel to our Rolltop 20L commuter backpack , we design every detail with longevity in mind — because the most sustainable product is one that doesn’t need replacing.

Our design language is rooted in Nordic simplicity: clean lines, calm details and nothing unnecessary. But minimal does not mean empty. Inside every Fjord bag is thoughtful organisation for laptops, work essentials, travel items and daily carry.

We believe a good backpack should support the way you move — from office to train, airport to hotel, school run to meeting — without forcing you to compromise between practicality and appearance.

Responsible by Design

Sustainability is not an afterthought for us. Fjord backpacks are made using recycled materials, vegan-friendly components and PFAS-free water-resistant coatings. We also work with audited manufacturing partners who meet recognised standards for responsible production.

We are also a member of 1% for the Planet, donating 1% of every sale to environmental organisations. For us, better design means thinking about the full life of a product — how it is made, how long it lasts, and what impact it leaves behind.
